Nicolas and Quentin Ertoz

These baby boys could not ask for a more loving family. Their grandparents flew in from Turkey to meet these little darling who did amazing well during the photo shoot. They were happily handed around from grandparents and auntie but they were never happier then with mom and dad. Each time I photograph families I am amazed by what I can see in the down moments. The times when no one thinks I am shooting. You can see the absolute love dad has for his boys and the gentle way grandpa's hands wrap around them. The magic of photography always amazes me.

Punk Rock Boy

I love this new trend towards the baby punk portraits.

Baby Brooklyn's First Studio Session

I am so happy that Jay and Cara signed up for the one year package. It means I get to see Ms. Brooklyn through the year (and her fantastic parents as well). We decided to try something completely different and do a session in the San Francisco studio. Ms. Brooklyn was a ham and came up with a 1000 and 1 expressions a minute during her baby portrait session.

Day at Ardenwood Farms

I am so grateful to Beth Turnridge for introducing me to this new spot. Ardenwood is gorgeous and such a perfect place to shoot. From the trains, to the gardens, to open spaces to the free roaming peacocks everywhere is a shooting possibility.

Caroline and Jim

I make no secret about it I love shooting at the Palace of Fine Arts. I know it is in the middle of a major facelift but it still has some of the best shooting spots. The place still has surprises for me. I must have shot here dozens of time including the beach across the street but this last photo shoot I found some brand new nooks and crannies. What a wonderful family to explore those with! Jim and Caroline have two gorgeous children. I knew they were after my heart when Gabrielle (age 3) came up to me in a white dress and mud streaked knees. Perfection! Very little is cuter then a three year old in a white dress with mud on her knees. Casey was an amazingly adept tree climber and us adults hummed "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" as we wandered over to the beach. Talk about an ideal start to the day. Right after I had to run over and photograph a very cool car but that blog entry will wait for later.

Best way to spend a Saturday

One of my favorite things is the yearly packages. This is complete selfishness on my part. I love getting to see some of my favorite clients throughout the year. This is my third photo-shoot with the Turnridge's and I am thrilled every-time I see them scheduled on my books. They are some of my favorite people and their boys are so lively and fun I always have a wonderful session.
