Every Single Girl's Guide to her Future Husband's Last Divorce

May I first  I first say I love my friends. Any time I get a call from the fabulous Adryenn Ashley I know I am in for a great assignment. Adryenn has just written a must read book for any woman considering marrying a man who has been married before, Every Single Girl's Guide to her Future Husband's Last Divorce. Adryenn had a wonderful launch party last night. Strictly speaking I was not working but since my camera is difficult to separate from me I managed to take a few shots. Adryenn wishing you best of luck and I am sure it will be #1.

White Rabbit Portrait Studios is now your bay area wedding photographer

Yes, you heard correctly, White Rabbit Portrait Studios is now accepting weddings! We have been getting so many requests from Bay Area Brides (and beyond) after one of our pictures graced Bay Area Bride Magazine that White Rabbit Portrait Studios will now be offering wedding packages. I could not be more excited! I am posting our wedding package list on my website under the information section. You will notice that all of our packages include an engagement session. I firmly believe in engagement sessions since I would like to get to know the couple. These are often my favorite sessions. Remember to ask about a bridal session, a very high fashion super fun shoot! If you are happily coupled or happily single please pass this on to any of your friends or family who might have a little extra sparkle on their left hands.

Best way to spend a Saturday

One of my favorite things is the yearly packages. This is complete selfishness on my part. I love getting to see some of my favorite clients throughout the year. This is my third photo-shoot with the Turnridge's and I am thrilled every-time I see them scheduled on my books. They are some of my favorite people and their boys are so lively and fun I always have a wonderful session.

Dream Job!

Anyone out there who knows me knows that I feel I was born in the wrong skin. It is never dark enough, glamorous enough to carry off my favorite colors of fuchsias, rubies, or lime greens. So when I had the opportunity to photograph some of the most amazing women in saris I jumped at the chance. My friend  Leila is the owner of Circle Communications.
I peeked at her client list and there was Sasha Couture's information. I told her I HAD to be the photographer for this account. The Saris are amazing. This was a fabulous shoot and I got to spend the day with wonderful people.

Bay Area Parent Cover Shoot

I love days like this but I did have a very well deserved glass of wine after. I shot the cover of Bay Area Parent Award editions. They called and asked if I could shoot in 24 hour notice and could I find a cute kid.Hmmm yes and  yes! I called my very dear friend Adryenn Ashley of Wow is Me fame and asked if I could borrow her adorable son Jack. He showed up with perfectly Ryan Seacrest messy hair and a tux. Jack makes my shooting life way to easy. Keep your eyes out for next months Bay Area Parent! To add a little interest to my life my Photoshop went down. If any clients are reading this I am on the way to the mac store now to beg plead and cajole. Everything will get done but I am going to ...gulp... post this photo with no corrections.

Piedmont Park

Many of you know I have moved from my beloved east bay for a new adventure on the Peninsula. This move meant having to leave behind many of my old and trustworthy shooting site. Somehow the planets alligned and I got to spend the entire day shooting at one of my all time favorites, Piedmont Park. I have a rule I pretty much stick to with my photo shoots, I must try at least one new thing for each shoot. I was a little nervous since I have shot here countless times. What was I going to find new to shoot? I arrived a half hour early and someone must have been VERY happy with me. I scouted the location as usual but my assistant and I got lost in conversation and turned in a direction I had never gone before. There it was all that was missing was an orchestra and few ethereal angels floating about. A small creek with gorgeous green background meandered around gorgeous rocks. The sun filtered golden and direct. Seriously no flash or outside light source was used to get this image. I love my job but on this day with two fabulous children and three witty and wonderful women and of course the perfect creek I LOVED my job!

Welcome to Veronika

Please meet my newest assistant Veronika. She has a wonderful eye and I will be training her hopefully to come on as an assistant photographer soon. I met Veronika a few months ago when I photographed her two sons. It turns out Veronika is fascinated by photography and has a knack. Please see her first shoot, head shots for Ladies Who Launch Connie. Veronika is considering opening a studio for children's with special needs. I am honored she has chosen me to train her and I look forward to being a part in helping her get to where her career needs to take her!
